Benefitting from a lovely fragrance, they're sure to attract admiration not only for their visuals but also for their pleasant aroma. For a diverse garden scene, consider pairing with other spring bloomers like tulips and hyacinths.
Plant Care Guide
Planting Narcissus 'Fortune' is straightforward. Choose a well-draining soil spot with either full sun or partial shade exposure. The bulbs should be planted approximately 10-15 cm deep and around 10 cm apart. Once planted, water generously, allowing the soil to settle around the bulbs. While daffodils are relatively low-maintenance, it's recommended to let their foliage die back naturally after blooming. This process ensures that the bulbs store enough energy for the following year's display. Avoid overwatering and ensure they're not sitting in waterlogged soil, especially during dormant periods.
- Deadhead spent flowers to encourage further blooms.
- Lift the bulbs in autumn and store them in a cool, dry place until planting time the following year.
