This whitewashed terracotta saucer is a beautifully understated essential for outdoor planting. Handmade from natural clay, it features a soft, chalky whitewashed edge that gently fades into warm terracotta tones, creating a calm, tactile finish that feels both traditional and contemporary.
Designed to sit beneath outdoor plant pots, the saucer collects excess water after rainfall or watering, helping to protect patios, balconies, and stone surfaces while supporting healthier root conditions. The porous nature of terracotta allows moisture to evaporate naturally, reducing the risk of waterlogging and stagnant soil.
Each saucer is individually finished, meaning no two pieces are exactly alike. Subtle variations in tone, texture, and whitewash application give it an authentic, artisanal character that pairs especially well with natural clay pots, aged terracotta, and Mediterranean-style planters.
Ideal for garden displays, terraces, and urban outdoor spaces, this saucer combines practical function with timeless material beauty.
Product Care Guide
Before first use, ensure the saucer is clean and dry. Always use with pots that have drainage holes to prevent standing water for long periods. During winter, raise pots slightly using pot feet to avoid constant saturation, which helps protect the terracotta from frost damage. Clean occasionally with water and a soft brush; avoid chemical cleaners, which can damage the natural finish. Expect gentle weathering over time, which enhances the saucer’s character.
