Quick Guide
- Clipped lollipop bay above a ring of purple cyclamen
- Rounded egg-shaped pot in a soft aqua
- Planted by hand at Boma in Kentish Town
- Made to order for your front step or terrace
- Evergreen bay keeps its neat shape all year
- Pick fresh bay leaves straight from the tree for cooking
- Replant around the bay when the cyclamen finish
A neat ball of bay on a slim stem, four purple cyclamen gathered round its feet, and all of it in a rounded egg pot in soft aqua. The purple and aqua sit well together: cool, bright and a little unexpected on a grey winter morning.
It's made for the places people see first. Either side of a front door, at the top of the steps, by the gate in a small front garden, or on a balcony where you'll catch sight of it from the sofa. The lollipop shape gives height without taking up much floor, so it suits a tight courtyard as well as a wide terrace.
We plant each one by hand at Boma in Kentish Town once you order. The cyclamen bring the winter colour. The bay is the part that stays, evergreen and tidy, with leaves you can pick for a stew on your way in. When the cyclamen finish, it's ready for whatever you plant round it next.
Plant Care and Where to Place Tips
Give it a bright spot out of harsh wind. Water when the top of the compost feels dry, pouring round the edge so the cyclamen crowns stay dry, and never leave it sitting in water. Twist off faded cyclamen flowers and yellowing leaves at the base to keep it looking fresh. In a hard frost, move it somewhere sheltered; against the house is fine. Feed the bay lightly in spring. When the cyclamen fade, lift them and plant around the bay for the next season. A pair either side of a door looks especially smart.

Plants marked as reduced for end-of-season clearance are non-refundable, as they are sold specifically to clear stock. This does not apply to special offers or multibuy promotions, which are eligible for returns as per our standard terms.
