Popular culinary herb and an essential plant for a herb garden
The perfect addition for use in herb gardens or rock gardens or used for trailing over a low growing wall.
This variety of rosemary has an abundance of pale blue flowers.
Foliage is aromatic and needle-like with silver undersides. Both flowers and foliage are used in cooking. Good with vegetables, tomatoes, meat, fish and pasta dishes.
Trailing, or prostrate growth habit, that is ideal for sprawling over the edge of a border or down the sides of a low growing wall.
This variety is named after the Hampshire nursery where it was first discovered and is distinctive for the silvery shading to the underside of the aromatic foliage, which is especially noticeable in the dark months of winter.
Planting Guide
If your are planting a rosemary in the garden, lightly fork over to loosen the soil. Add in organic matter by digging in some Peat-free John Innes compost. Once the soil is mixed, dig a small hole with a spade and add to the bottom of the planting hole a generous handful of Mycorrhizal fungi. Place the Rosemary and back-fill with soil. Make sure you have not buried the plant lower in the ground than it was in the pot. After planting, firm the soil around the plant so the plants roots are in touch with the garden soil. After planting water thoroughly, make sure the soil is moist but not too wet for the first two weeks.
Plant Care
Spring
Feed with seaweed feed in summer. Light trim after flowering to stop the plant from becoming too leggy and woody
Summer
Keep and eye on watering for the first year after planting until the plant becomes established and will need much less watering
