If your looking for a plant for a contemporary garden with contrasting metallic silver and rosy red foliage this could be the plant for your garden.

'Silver Gumdrop' is an ideal evergreen perennial for brightening up that dark corner in the garden.  A compact Heuchera with a blueish tinge to the foliage and dark leaf venation.

Vibrant pink flowers emerge from the cascade of metallic foliage in late spring in contrasting shades of pinky red. 

The foliage is glossy and resembles the shape of an Acer leaf. This foliage of the variety of Heuchera is due to it being a cross of Heuchera villosa. 

Heuchera Villosa has larger leaves when compared to other species of Heuchera. This Heuchera also has an increased tolerance of periods of prolonged heat and dry spells resulting in a much more resilient garden-worthy plant. H. villosa is native to the southeastern United States.

Planting Guide

If your are planting a Heuchera in the garden, lightly fork over to loosen the soil. Add in organic matter by digging in some Peat-free John Innes compost. Once the soil is mixed, dig a small hole with a spade and add to the bottom of the planting hole a generous handful of Mycorrhizal fungi. Place the Heuchera and back-fill with soil. Make sure you have not buried the plant lower in the ground than it was in the pot.  After planting, firm the soil around the plant so the plants roots are in touch with the garden soil. After planting water thoroughly, make sure the soil is moist but not too wet for the first two weeks.

Remove untidy foliage throughout winter and be careful not to over water

Spring

Cutback untidy foliage and feed with Maxicrop Seaweed feed in the spring

Summer

Keep an eye on watering during period of prolonged heat . Feed with Maxicrop seaweed feed twice a month Cut back flower spikes as the flowers fade

Autumn

Tidy foliage and remove dying leaves to keep your Heuchera Looking Fresh

Delivery Timeframes

We aim to deliver orders within 2–4 working days. During peak seasons, such as Christmas, delivery times may vary slightly due to increased demand. We will keep you informed at every stage.

Click & Collect

We encourage you to collect from our garden centre in Kentish Town — it saves on delivery costs and gives you the chance to see our full range of plants and products in person.

All Click & Collect orders must be collected within 7 days of being ready, unless a later date has been arranged with us in advance. If an order is not collected within this time, it will be cancelled and a refund issued.

Returns Policy

If you need to return an item, please contact us within 14 days of receipt to arrange a return or exchange. Products must be in their original condition and packaging. Plants may be non-refundable unless they arrive damaged or defective.

Items bought in-store or collected can be returned directly at the garden centre. If you would like us to collect a return and it is in good condition (e.g. you have changed your mind), it must be in its original condition, and the same delivery cost will apply for the return.

Plants marked as reduced for end-of-season clearance are non-refundable, as they are sold specifically to clear stock. This does not apply to special offers or multibuy promotions, which are eligible for returns as per our standard terms.
