Reaching up to 1 metre in height and spread, ‘Pierrolino’ boasts a dense, bushy habit, making it an excellent choice for low hedging, borders, or container planting. Its versatility allows it to complement a variety of garden styles, from formal designs to contemporary landscapes.
This cultivar thrives in well-drained soils and is tolerant of both full sun and partial shade, making it suitable for various garden positions. Its resilience and minimal maintenance requirements make it a favourite among gardeners seeking reliable and attractive foliage plants.
Plant Care Guide
Plant ‘Pierrolino’ in well-drained soil, ensuring it receives either full sun or partial shade. Water regularly during the establishment period; once established, it is relatively drought-tolerant. Pruning is generally unnecessary but can be performed in late spring to maintain the desired shape.
Monitor for common pests such as scale insects and vine weevils, and treat accordingly if infestations occur. The shrub is hardy throughout most of the UK, tolerating temperatures down to -15°C.
