Plant Care

  • Soil: Camellias prefer acidic soil that is rich in organic matter. If your soil is not naturally acidic, you can amend it with compost or peat moss.

  • Watering: Water your Camellia 'Centrifolia Alba' regularly during the growing season, but be sure not to overwater. The soil should be moist but not waterlogged.

  • By following these care tips, your Camellia 'Centrifolia Alba' will thrive and produce beautiful blooms year after year.

  • Fertilizer: Feed your camellia with a slow-release, acid-forming fertilizer in early spring, just before the new growth begins. Avoid fertilizing late in the growing season as this can interfere with the plant's ability to go dormant.

  • Pruning: Prune your camellia after it has finished flowering in the spring. This will help to shape the plant and encourage new growth. Be sure to sterilize your pruning tools before using them to avoid spreading disease.

  • Pest and disease control: Camellias can be susceptible to pests and diseases such as aphids, scale, and leaf spots. Regularly inspect your plant for signs of infestation or disease and take appropriate measures to control them.

  • Winter protection: Camellias are hardy, but they can still suffer damage from freezing temperatures. Protect your plant from cold and wind by covering it with burlap or frost cloth.

Third-Party Couriers

For London postcodes outside a 5-mile radius of our Kentish Town garden centre, we may occasionally use a third-party courier for delivery. In these cases, we try our best to still deliver the items in the requested delivery time slot but please be aware that occasionally this may not always be possible and is out of our control.

Delivery Discrepancies

Please check your order as soon as it arrives. If there is any discrepancy — such as a missing, incorrect, or damaged item — please contact us within 48 hours of delivery so we can put things right. Returns Policy

If you need to return an item, please contact us within 14 days of receipt to arrange a return or exchange. Products must be in their original condition and packaging. Plants may be non-refundable unless they arrive damaged or defective.

Items bought in-store or collected can be returned directly at the garden centre. If you would like us to collect a return and it is in good condition (e.g. you have changed your mind), it must be in its original condition, and the same delivery cost will apply for the return.

Plants marked as reduced for end-of-season clearance are non-refundable, as they are sold specifically to clear stock. This does not apply to special offers or multibuy promotions, which are eligible for returns as per our standard terms.
