Quick Guide

  • Handcrafted aged terracotta outdoor planter

  • Classic Italian-inspired design with rolled rim

  • Naturally weathered finish with rustic character

  • Frost-resistant and suitable for year-round use

  • Breathable clay encourages strong root growth

  • Ideal for shrubs, bay trees, and flowering perennials

  • Each piece is individually aged for a unique patina

Evoking the timeless beauty of traditional Mediterranean pottery, the Aged Terracotta Planter – Cortona brings authentic craftsmanship and rustic charm to any outdoor setting. Each planter is handmade using natural terracotta and carefully aged to create a soft, weathered finish that feels both classic and organic. The wide rolled rim and gently tapered form give this pot a substantial, traditional look that suits both modern terraces and period gardens.

The Cortona’s porous terracotta body allows roots to breathe and water to circulate naturally, promoting healthy plant growth through the seasons. Perfect for showcasing bay trees, skimmias, lavenders, or flowering shrubs, it pairs durability with understated style. Whether placed as a standalone feature or grouped in varying sizes, this handmade outdoor pot enriches the garden with texture and timeless character.

Product Care Guide

Place on pot feet to ensure good drainage and reduce frost damage risk. Add a layer of crocks or gravel before filling with compost to improve water flow. Although frost-resistant, sheltering the planter during severe cold will prolong its life. Over time, the aged terracotta finish will continue to develop a natural patina, enhancing its rustic appeal.

Creating an urban paradise

Our dream is to transform urban living into a plant lovers' paradise. Making our neighbourhoods a wonderful place is good for our wellbeing and more friendly to the environment. A shared vision that gets us out of bed in the morning.

We've curated a botanical sanctuary

Our team of horticulturists planned our garden centre to show plants in their natural habitat, with inspirational displays. Looking for plants is like taking a walk in a botanical sanctuary.
And for those that consider our canine friends an essential part of life, bring your best mate along. Hopefully, they'll get along with our house cat Blue Bell.

It so happens we stock some fabulous plants

Our garden centre specialises in rare specimen plants beyond the common garden varieties. We also stock everything you need to cultivate your dream garden, home and office, with the largest range of plants, pots and containers in North London. Apparently, visitors consider us  The gardener's garden centre.
