Traditional Mediterranean garden plant pot character
The Terracotta Orangerie Pot is a classic garden planter inspired by traditional European orangeries, where citrus trees and ornamental plants were displayed in elegant containers throughout the seasons. With its broad rim and gently tapered form, this refined outdoor plant pot creates an impressive focal point in London terraces, courtyard gardens and patios.
Crafted from natural clay and finished in a warm terracotta patina, each outdoor planter displays subtle variations in colour and texture that enhance its authentic Mediterranean character. These garden plant pots are handmade by skilled artisans and fired at extremely high temperatures, producing a durable container that can withstand outdoor conditions while maintaining its timeless appearance.
The generous planting space makes this outdoor pot ideal for small citrus trees, bay trees, olives, ornamental shrubs or abundant seasonal displays. Positioned beside garden seating, framing an entrance, or placed as a statement planter trough on a terrace, the Terracotta Orangerie Pot adds structure and elegance to outdoor planting schemes.
Whether used in a contemporary London roof terrace or a traditional townhouse courtyard, this beautifully proportioned garden planter creates a sophisticated setting for plants throughout the year.
Product Care
Terracotta is naturally breathable, allowing moisture to regulate around plant roots. Always use a well-draining compost and ensure the drainage hole remains clear to prevent waterlogging. Cover the drainage hole with a small mesh screen when planting to stop soil escaping.
In winter, avoid standing water inside the outdoor plant pot, as freezing conditions may damage terracotta. Elevating the garden planter on pot feet will improve drainage and airflow. Clean occasionally with mild soapy water to maintain the natural terracotta finish.
