Quick Guide
We plant each one to match the photo as closely as we can. If a plant or pot isn't available, we'll swap in a close match so the overall look is the same.
- Lollipop bay tree with four pink cyclamen underneath
- Pink flowers against warm terracotta and dark green leaves
- A softer festive look if red isn't your thing
- Fits a doorstep, porch or small terrace
- Bay keeps its clipped head with a summer trim
- Keep the cyclamen crowns dry when watering
- Fresh planting can go round the bay later
Not everyone wants red at Christmas. Four pink cyclamen under a clipped bay tree give you the festive shape (a neat green ball on a straight stem) in colours that are softer and a bit more surprising.
Pink looks particularly good against terracotta, the two warming each other up on a grey day. Stand it by the front door, at the end of a balcony or beside a bench in the back garden where you'll see it from indoors. It doesn't need much room, so it's an easy fit on a narrow step.
When the cyclamen are finished, the bay carries on. Keep it in the same pot, trim it lightly in summer and plant something new round it for the next season. It's a planter that keeps earning its place long after the decorations are back in their box.
Plant Care
Bay and cyclamen both like a bright position with some shelter from cold wind. Water when the surface of the compost is dry to the touch, letting it run in round the rim so the cyclamen crowns don't sit wet, and empty any saucer. Deadhead by twisting each spent flower stalk off at its base. If a hard frost is forecast, tuck it up against a wall or bring it into a porch. The bay will appreciate a liquid feed while it's growing, from spring into summer. On a windy corner, a spot against the house will keep it steadier.

Third-Party Couriers
For London postcodes outside a 5-mile radius of our Kentish Town garden centre, we may occasionally use a third-party courier for delivery. In these cases, we try our best to still deliver the items in the requested delivery time slot but please be aware that occasionally this may not always be possible and is out of our control.
Delivery Discrepancies
Please check your order as soon as it arrives. If there is any discrepancy — such as a missing, incorrect, or damaged item — please contact us within 48 hours of delivery so we can put things right. Returns Policy
If you need to return an item, please contact us within 14 days of receipt to arrange a return or exchange. Products must be in their original condition and packaging. Plants may be non-refundable unless they arrive damaged or defective.
Items bought in-store or collected can be returned directly at the garden centre. If you would like us to collect a return and it is in good condition (e.g. you have changed your mind), it must be in its original condition, and the same delivery cost will apply for the return.
Plants marked as reduced for end-of-season clearance are non-refundable, as they are sold specifically to clear stock. This does not apply to special offers or multibuy promotions, which are eligible for returns as per our standard terms.
