Helleborus niger ‘Jasper’ is a stunning Christmas Rose renowned for its abundant pure white flowers with clean yellow-green centres. Flowering from autumn through winter and into early spring, it brings enduring colour when few other perennials are in bloom. The large, bowl-shaped flowers are held above a dense mound of shiny dark green evergreen foliage, providing year-round structure and interest in the garden. 

This vigorous variety is perfectly suited to woodland gardens, shaded borders and underplanting beneath deciduous trees, where its crisp white blooms glow against a backdrop of winter structure. It also makes a lovely display in containers on patios and terraces, and pairs beautifully with architectural grasses like Festuca, seasonal heathers (Calluna), ivy (Hedera) or spring bulbs such as snowdrops and early narcissi.

Plant Care Guide

Plant Helleborus ‘Jasper’ in fertile, moist but well-drained soil in a location with partial shade — too much hot, direct sun can stress foliage. Water well during establishment, especially in periods of drought, but avoid waterlogged soil. 

Remove old or damaged leaves in late winter before flowering to showcase new blooms and improve air circulation. An annual application of mulch or well-rotted organic matter will help retain moisture and support healthy growth. Once established, this hellebore is hardy and low maintenance, returning each year with minimal care.

Delivery Timeframes

We aim to deliver orders within 2–4 working days. During peak seasons, such as Christmas, delivery times may vary slightly due to increased demand. We will keep you informed at every stage.

Click & Collect

We encourage you to collect from our garden centre in Kentish Town — it saves on delivery costs and gives you the chance to see our full range of plants and products in person.

All Click & Collect orders must be collected within 7 days of being ready, unless a later date has been arranged with us in advance. If an order is not collected within this time, it will be cancelled and a refund issued.

Returns Policy

If you need to return an item, please contact us within 14 days of receipt to arrange a return or exchange. Products must be in their original condition and packaging. Plants may be non-refundable unless they arrive damaged or defective.

Items bought in-store or collected can be returned directly at the garden centre. If you would like us to collect a return and it is in good condition (e.g. you have changed your mind), it must be in its original condition, and the same delivery cost will apply for the return.

Plants marked as reduced for end-of-season clearance are non-refundable, as they are sold specifically to clear stock. This does not apply to special offers or multibuy promotions, which are eligible for returns as per our standard terms.
