Quick Guide
We plant each one to match the photo as closely as we can. If a plant or pot isn't available, we'll swap in a close match so the overall look is the same.
- Pink-red winter heather with a green cordyline
- Spiky cordyline gives the box some height
- Low, bushy heather packed with small flowers
- Planted in a Garda terracotta window box
- Warm pink-red against clay and green leaves
- Suits a sunny sill or front wall
- Trim heather lightly once flowering finishes
This pink-red heather brings real warmth to the front of the house in the colder months. It fills the Garda terracotta window box in low, bushy mounds around a green cordyline, and the small flowers crowd every stem.
The cordyline's narrow, upright leaves give the box height and structure, which stops the heather looking flat. Pink-red looks warm against the clay, and it's cheerful rather than strictly festive, so the box won't look out of place once the season is over. The terracotta and green leaves keep it grounded.
A sunny sill, a front wall or a balcony suits it best. Two plants make a simple pairing, which is exactly what makes it easy to place: it goes with brick, render and painted fronts alike.
Plant Care
Give it plenty of light; heather flowers best in sun, and the cordyline likes it bright too. Keep the compost evenly moist, as heather suffers if it dries out, but don't let the box sit in water. Hold off feeding until spring, then use a general liquid feed. The heather is hardy, but move the box close to the house in a hard frost to protect the cordyline. Once flowering finishes, trim the heather lightly to keep it compact, and pull away any lower cordyline leaves that turn brown.

Returns Policy
If you need to return an item, please contact us within 14 days of receipt to arrange a return or exchange. Products must be in their original condition and packaging. Plants may be non-refundable unless they arrive damaged or defective.
Items bought in-store or collected can be returned directly at the garden centre. If you would like us to collect a return and it is in good condition (e.g. you have changed your mind), it must be in its original condition, and the same delivery cost will apply for the return.
Plants marked as reduced for end-of-season clearance are non-refundable, as they are sold specifically to clear stock. This does not apply to special offers or multibuy promotions, which are eligible for returns as per our standard terms.
