Winter gardens can go a bit grey. The Darley Downs Planter keeps things looking fresh, with clean white heather, a skimmia with glossy evergreen leaves and wire vine, whose tiny round leaves sit on dark, wiry stems that spill over the rim. It's a quiet, crisp combination that looks good on a frosty morning and even better when you come home in the dark and catch a flash of white by the door.
We plant each one by hand at Boma in Kentish Town once you've ordered, so it reaches you as a finished outdoor planter. Set it on the front step, by the back door or in the corner of a balcony where you'll pass it every day. It holds its own in a small courtyard, or sits as a calm green anchor among bigger pots on a terrace.
Nothing here needs fussing over. It's a garden planter for anyone who'd like something growing through the colder months without having to plan a border to get it.
Product Care Guide
Bright light or partial shade suits all three plants. Water when the top of the compost feels dry, and remember that pots under eaves or on balconies miss most of the rain. There's no need to feed through winter. Give a little balanced feed in spring. In hard frosts, raise the pot on feet so it drains freely, or move it against a sheltered wall. Snip off heather flowers once they turn brown. Come spring, plant the trio into a border or a larger outdoor pot to keep them going.

Returns Policy
If you need to return an item, please contact us within 14 days of receipt to arrange a return or exchange. Products must be in their original condition and packaging. Plants may be non-refundable unless they arrive damaged or defective.
Items bought in-store or collected can be returned directly at the garden centre. If you would like us to collect a return and it is in good condition (e.g. you have changed your mind), it must be in its original condition, and the same delivery cost will apply for the return.
Plants marked as reduced for end-of-season clearance are non-refundable, as they are sold specifically to clear stock. This does not apply to special offers or multibuy promotions, which are eligible for returns as per our standard terms.
