Caring for the Cordyline 'Black Night' is relatively simple, making it a desirable choice for plant enthusiasts. This cultivar thrives in well-draining soil enriched with organic matter. When planting outdoors, choose a location that receives partial to full sun exposure, although it can tolerate some shade. Ensure the soil remains consistently moist but not waterlogged, as excessive moisture can lead to root rot. Indoors, place the Cordyline 'Black Night' in a well-lit area with indirect sunlight, such as near a window. Regular watering, allowing the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings, is recommended for its optimal growth. Pruning can be done to maintain its shape and remove any dead or damaged leaves.

The Cordyline 'Black Night' is a plant that effortlessly combines a captivating appearance with ease of care. Its dark, mysterious foliage makes it an exceptional choice for those seeking a touch of drama and sophistication. Enhance your living space or garden with the mesmerizing beauty of the Cordyline 'Black Night' and experience the allure it brings to any environment.

Planting Guide

If your are planting a Cordyline in the garden, lightly fork over to loosen the soil. Add in organic matter by digging in some Peat-free John Innes compost. Once the soil is mixed, dig a small hole with a spade and add to the bottom of the planting hole a generous handful of Mycorrhizal fungi. Place the Cordyine and back-fill with soil. Make sure you have not buried the plant lower in the ground than it was in the pot.  After planting, firm the soil around the plant so the plants roots are in touch with the garden soil. After planting water thoroughly, make sure the soil is moist but not too wet for the first two weeks.
