The Antico Whitby Pot – Handmade Outdoor Planter is a refined garden plant pot designed to bring warmth, texture and understated elegance to outdoor spaces. With its gently curved form and softly weathered Antico terracotta finish, this classic outdoor planter complements both traditional and contemporary London gardens, terraces and courtyards.
Handcrafted from natural clay using traditional artisanal techniques, each terracotta garden planter is fired at extremely high temperatures – typically around 990–1000°C – to strengthen the clay and improve durability and resistance to weathering. This process also creates subtle variations in tone and texture, giving every outdoor plant pot a unique character.
The Whitby design features a generous planting space that works beautifully for low-growing planting schemes. Use it for succulents, herbs, ornamental grasses, lavender or seasonal bedding. The wide shape also makes this garden planter ideal for layered displays where foliage can spill gently over the rim.
Position the Antico Whitby outdoor pot beside garden seating, along a terrace wall, or grouped with other terracotta containers to create relaxed Mediterranean planting displays that feel perfectly suited to London outdoor living.
Product Care
Terracotta is naturally porous, allowing plant roots to breathe and helping regulate moisture in the soil. Always use a free-draining compost and ensure the drainage hole remains clear to prevent waterlogging. Adding crocks or gravel to the base of the outdoor planter will improve drainage.
During winter, avoid standing water inside the garden plant pot, as freezing conditions may cause damage. Raising the planter slightly on pot feet will help water drain away and prolong the life of the container.

You are also welcome to visit our garden centre in Kentish Town, where our team will be happy to help in person.

Delivery Timeframes
We aim to deliver orders within 2–4 working days. During peak seasons, such as Christmas, delivery times may vary slightly due to increased demand. We will keep you informed at every stage.
Click & Collect
We encourage you to collect from our garden centre in Kentish Town — it saves on delivery costs and gives you the chance to see our full range of plants and products in person.
All Click & Collect orders must be collected within 7 days of being ready, unless a later date has been arranged with us in advance. If an order is not collected within this time, it will be cancelled and a refund issued.
Returns Policy
If you need to return an item, please contact us within 14 days of receipt to arrange a return or exchange. Products must be in their original condition and packaging. Plants may be non-refundable unless they arrive damaged or defective.
Items bought in-store or collected can be returned directly at the garden centre. If you would like us to collect a return and it is in good condition (e.g. you have changed your mind), it must be in its original condition, and the same delivery cost will apply for the return.
Plants marked as reduced for end-of-season clearance are non-refundable, as they are sold specifically to clear stock. This does not apply to special offers or multibuy promotions, which are eligible for returns as per our standard terms.
