Quick Guide
• Vibrant orange spathes
• Low-maintenance, easy care
• Glossy, evergreen foliage
• Ideal for bright interiors
• Excellent air-purifier
Anthurium andraeanum ‘Royal Orange’ graces your home with vivid, tangerine-hued spathes that shine against its glossy, emerald-green leaves. This tropical charmer brings instant warmth and energy into living rooms, bedrooms, or even offices, making it a standout choice for anyone seeking a lively splash of colour. The heart-shaped spathes are not only stunning but also long-lasting, creating a continuous show throughout the year, especially if placed in bright, indirect light.
Beyond looks, ‘Royal Orange’ belongs to the Anthurium family renowned for filtering and refreshing indoor air. The plant’s lustrous foliage adds sophisticated flair without the fuss, and minimal pruning is required—just snip away spent blooms or older leaves to keep it looking fresh. Expect a maximum height of around 60 cm and a spread of approximately 40 cm. Being a flowering houseplant, it pairs beautifully with ferns or upright foliage plants like Sansevieria, creating a dynamic contrast of shapes and textures. Place it in a stylish ceramic container or basket for an elegant, contemporary touch. The result is a vibrant mini-paradise wherever you decide to showcase this eye-catching specimen.
Plant Care Guide
Use a watering can, mister, and quality potting mix. Water moderately when the topsoil begins to dry, ensuring good drainage. Misting or using a humidifier keeps the leaves glossy and healthy. Feed monthly in the growing season with a balanced liquid fertiliser. Position in bright, indirect light, and watch for pests like aphids or spider mites. Avoid placing near strong drafts or radiators. Keep temperatures consistent, ideally between 15°C and 25°C. An Elho pot cover adds a sleek, modern look, or choose a decorative ceramic pot or woven basket for a cosier style. Trim faded spathes or yellowing leaves to maintain a tidy appearance.
