Scindapsus pictus ‘Argyraeus’, commonly known as Satin Pothos, is an elegant indoor foliage plant prized for its soft, heart-shaped leaves dusted with silvery markings. The contrast between matte green and metallic silver gives the plant a refined, almost velvety appearance that works beautifully in modern interiors.
This is a foliage plant rather than a flowering one, grown primarily for its decorative leaves and graceful trailing habit. It is ideal for placing on shelves, sideboards, or in hanging planters, where its vines can gently cascade. Satin Pothos suits living rooms, bedrooms, home offices, and bathrooms with natural light, bringing a calm, fresh feel to the space.
Scindapsus pictus is also known for its air-purifying qualities, helping to contribute to a healthier indoor environment. Over time, it can reach up to around 150 centimetres in length, with a spread of 40 to 60 centimetres when allowed to trail. Growth can be easily managed by trimming stems to encourage bushier growth or maintain a compact shape.
It pairs well with other leafy houseplants such as Monstera, Philodendron, Ficus, and ferns, creating layered, textural indoor displays.
Plant Care Guide
Scindapsus pictus ‘Argyraeus’ is low maintenance and forgiving. Place it in bright, indirect light; avoid strong direct sun. Water when the top few centimetres of compost feel dry, allowing excess water to drain away. Light misting helps in dry homes, though it is not essential.
Use a free-draining houseplant compost. Feed monthly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid houseplant feed. Trim long stems with clean scissors to shape or encourage fuller growth.
Keep away from cold draughts and sudden temperature changes. Watch for spider mites in very dry conditions. For styling, use a contemporary Elho pot cover or a ceramic or woven basket planter for a softer interior look.

Delivery Timeframes
We aim to deliver orders within 2–4 working days. During peak seasons, such as Christmas, delivery times may vary slightly due to increased demand. We will keep you informed at every stage.
Click & Collect
We encourage you to collect from our garden centre in Kentish Town — it saves on delivery costs and gives you the chance to see our full range of plants and products in person.
All Click & Collect orders must be collected within 7 days of being ready, unless a later date has been arranged with us in advance. If an order is not collected within this time, it will be cancelled and a refund issued.
Returns Policy
If you need to return an item, please contact us within 14 days of receipt to arrange a return or exchange. Products must be in their original condition and packaging. Plants may be non-refundable unless they arrive damaged or defective.
Items bought in-store or collected can be returned directly at the garden centre. If you would like us to collect a return and it is in good condition (e.g. you have changed your mind), it must be in its original condition, and the same delivery cost will apply for the return.
Plants marked as reduced for end-of-season clearance are non-refundable, as they are sold specifically to clear stock. This does not apply to special offers or multibuy promotions, which are eligible for returns as per our standard terms.
