Quick Guide
- Striking golden-yellow foliage
- Compact and bushy habit
- Springtime white bell-shaped blooms
- Ideal for pots or shaded borders
- Low maintenance and evergreen
Pieris 'Little Goldy' is a dazzling evergreen shrub that brings a burst of sunlight to any garden with its golden-yellow new foliage. As the seasons change, this foliage subtly matures to a rich green, providing year-round interest and a beautiful backdrop for its clusters of white, bell-shaped flowers in spring. This compact and bushy variety is perfectly suited for small gardens or for adding a touch of elegance to patio containers. Thriving in partially shaded areas, 'Little Goldy' offers a splendid display in woodland gardens or acidic soil beds, complementing rhododendrons, azaleas, and camellias with its vibrant colour and texture. With its low maintenance needs and resilient nature, it's an excellent choice for both novice and experienced gardeners looking to enhance their outdoor spaces with long-lasting beauty.
Plant Care Guide
Pieris 'Little Goldy' thrives in partially shaded spots with well-drained, acidic soil. It prefers a sheltered position, away from harsh winds. Water regularly to maintain moist soil, especially during dry spells. Mulching with ericaceous compost can help preserve soil moisture and acidity. Pruning is seldom required, but any dead or faded flowers can be removed to encourage new growth. Protect from severe frosts by covering or moving containers to a protected spot during the coldest months.
