Hydrangea serrata 'Tiara' is a delightful, compact deciduous shrub known for its stunning reddish-purple foliage and beautiful lace-cap flower heads. The flowers consist of pale blue sterile blooms surrounding deeper blue fertile ones, creating a striking display from early to mid-summer. With a bushy habit, 'Tiara' reaches an ultimate height of 0.5–1 metre and spreads 1–1.5 metres over 5–10 years. This attractive shrub is perfect for small gardens, borders, or as a container plant, bringing vibrant colour and texture to your outdoor space. Though not native to the UK, its unique charm and easy maintenance make it a popular choice among gardeners.

Plant Care Guide

Plant Hydrangea serrata 'Tiara' in well-drained, moist soil, ideally in partial shade to protect its delicate flowers from harsh sunlight. Regular watering is essential, especially during dry periods, to maintain soil moisture. Apply a balanced fertiliser in spring to encourage healthy growth and abundant blooms. Prune after flowering to maintain its shape and remove any dead or damaged wood. Be aware that the plant can cause skin irritation; always wear gloves and protective clothing when handling.

Delivery Timeframes

We aim to deliver orders within 2–4 working days. During peak seasons, such as Christmas, delivery times may vary slightly due to increased demand. We will keep you informed at every stage.

Click & Collect

We encourage you to collect from our garden centre in Kentish Town — it saves on delivery costs and gives you the chance to see our full range of plants and products in person.

All Click & Collect orders must be collected within 7 days of being ready, unless a later date has been arranged with us in advance. If an order is not collected within this time, it will be cancelled and a refund issued.

Returns Policy

If you need to return an item, please contact us within 14 days of receipt to arrange a return or exchange. Products must be in their original condition and packaging. Plants may be non-refundable unless they arrive damaged or defective.

Items bought in-store or collected can be returned directly at the garden centre. If you would like us to collect a return and it is in good condition (e.g. you have changed your mind), it must be in its original condition, and the same delivery cost will apply for the return.

Plants marked as reduced for end-of-season clearance are non-refundable, as they are sold specifically to clear stock. This does not apply to special offers or multibuy promotions, which are eligible for returns as per our standard terms.
