Hydrangea paniculata 'Phantom' is an upright, spreading deciduous shrub renowned for its robust growth habit and stunning floral display. Its yellow-green foliage is complemented by tough, rigid stems that support large clusters of small, cream flowers from mid-summer. As the season progresses, these blooms transition to beautiful shades of pink, providing lasting visual interest through autumn. Reaching an ultimate height of 1-1.5 metres and a spread of 1-2 metres, 'Phantom' is ideal for adding structure and colour to gardens. Its dense and heavy blooming nature makes it a standout choice for borders, hedges, and urban gardens.
Plant Care Guide
Plant Hydrangea paniculata 'Phantom' in moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil. It thrives in both full sun and partial shade, making it versatile for various garden settings. This shrub is tolerant of heat but slightly susceptible to drought, so additional watering during hot summer periods is recommended. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain its shape and encourage vigorous growth. Mulching around the base helps retain soil moisture and regulate temperature.
