Long flowering summer display
Red Tuberous Begonias deliver bold, saturated colour through large, velvety blooms in deep crimson to scarlet tones. The flowers are often densely layered, forming rounded, rose-like heads that sit proudly above or slightly nestled within the foliage, creating a strong visual contrast against the deep green leaves.
Perfect for shaded patios, balconies, and courtyard gardens across London, these begonias excel in containers, hanging baskets, and window boxes. Their rich colouring pairs beautifully with softer companions such as white bacopa, pale pink impatiens, or trailing ivy, allowing the red tones to stand out with intensity.
Flowering continuously from early summer through to autumn, they offer a reliable and dramatic display, particularly valuable in lower-light areas where many flowering plants struggle to perform.
Plant Care
Plant in well-drained, fertile compost in partial shade or dappled light. Avoid strong midday sun, which can scorch foliage and flowers. Keep compost consistently moist but ensure good drainage to prevent tuber rot.
Feed weekly with a high-potash fertiliser to support strong flowering. Remove spent blooms to keep plants looking fresh. Not frost hardy, so only plant outdoors after the last frost. Tubers can be lifted and stored dry over winter for reuse the following season.

Third-Party Couriers
For London postcodes outside a 5-mile radius of our Kentish Town garden centre, we may occasionally use a third-party courier for delivery. Items bought in-store or collected can be returned directly at the garden centre. If you would like us to collect a return and it is in good condition (e.g. you have changed your mind), it must be in its original condition, and the same delivery cost will apply for the return.
Plants marked as reduced for end-of-season clearance are non-refundable, as they are sold specifically to clear stock. This does not apply to special offers or multibuy promotions, which are eligible for returns as per our standard terms.
