Below you can find some of the frequently asked questions from visitors to The Boma garden centre and our website.

What are your opening hours?

January – February       

Monday-Saturday           09.00-17.00

The Boma closes on Easter Sunday and between Christmas and New Year.  The exact dates and times for these closures can be found at the bottom of the Home page on our website.

Is there a car park at your garden centre?

Yes, we have a car park opposite the garden centre entrance.  In addition, there is Visitor Pay-by-Phone parking in Islip Street.  There are parking restrictions in the area Monday – Friday 08.30-18.30.  There are no parking restrictions on Saturdays and Sundays.

Do you allow dogs in your garden centre?

The Boma Garden Centre is a dog-friendly establishment, and well-behaved dogs are welcome to shop with you.  For everyone's comfort, please keep your furry friend on a lead at all times, and clean up after them.  Please note that you accept full responsibility for your dog's behaviour by bringing your dog into the Boma Garden Centre, including total liability for any injury or damage that your dog could cause during your visit.

Is the garden centre wheelchair accessible?

The majority of the garden centre is flat at ground level, and we have regular wheelchair users visiting our centre.  The plant area at the rear of the garden centre is on original cobblestones, which are not entirely even.

What payment options do you offer?

We offer payment options: Debit and credit card, cash, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Boma Gift Vouchers and HTA National Garden Gift Vouchers.

Do you offer a natural alternative to traditional chemicals and fertilisers?

Yes, the Boma offers a full range of organic gardening plant care products

Do you sell organic vegetables or seeds?

Yes, the Boma offers an extensive range of organic fruit, vegetables and herb seeds.

Do you sell peat-free compost?

Yes, the Boma sells both Melcourt SylvaGrow and Levington peat-free compost.  (Compost is only available for delivery on a local basis.)

Do you sell and accept gift vouchers?

Yes, the Boma sells both our own Boma Garden Centre Gift Vouchers as well as the HTA National Garden Gift Vouchers.

Do you sell online and deliver?

Yes, The Boma has a webshop offering an extensive range of our products. Please see our Webshop

Can I add a message to a gift delivery?

If you wish to add a gift message, you can enter a message in the Delivery Instructions.
For gifts, we will add the message to a tag attached to the present. 
For vouchers, we will write the message on the envelope sleeve.
